Dart Maintenance
Keeping your darts in good shape is key if you want to score high and consistently. You would be surprised how dirty, oily and greasy your darts can get after a fun night of playing darts at the local pub.
When cleaning, one option is any kind of mild soap with just a little bit of soap and water. Even those wet wipes you can get in any store will work well. Just don't use any kind of hand cream or anything that would weigh down the dart.
You will also want to keep your darts sharp. Technically you're not sharpening them but more so rounding the tip (see our article on sharpening/rounding darts).
Try to keep some extra flights and extra shafts with you as they can break during game play. In addition it's not a bad idea to keep an extra set of darts with you in case the first set break or you just don't like the feel of them that particular night.
