Dartboards
Choosing the right dartboard to use is as important as getting the right kind of darts. With so many modern advances, dartboards have come a long way too. Today, there are two kinds available the first of which is the bristle dartboard which makes use of materials such as bristle bards as well as cork and sisal.
The most common material used is cork and many of you might be familiar with the fact that it crumbles easily which makes it not suitable for rigorous use such as the ones in pubs. In such cases, many people often opt to use Sisal boards which are fibrous and last longer than cork boards. Sisal is commonly used in the creation of ropes and when a dart pokes through a sisal board, the fibers simply give way and no hole is actually made.

For more forward thinking dart players, electronic dartboards are the way to go. An electronic dartboard provides players with the convenience of automatically tallying the player’s scores during the game which pretty much eliminates the need for constantly making chalk markings or writing down scores. Basically, an electronic dartboard makes use of various sensors that do the task of detecting where the dart landed.
If course, these boards can only be used with soft tipped darts because of their sensitive nature. Nonetheless, don’t you just love the idea and convenience? Either way, both types of boards work just as well as the other with a few obvious differences but both serve their purpose well.
